The material
Acrylic that looks like stone. Cleans like glass.
We usually open all three shower walls to the studs and rebuild the wet area. Then we set one of two acrylic wall systems: Full Wall Acrylic Panel, large seamless sheets, or Palisade Tile, tile-look pieces that go up one by one.

Why we specialize in it
Traditional tile is beautiful the week it is grouted. In Orange County hard water it starts to haze, then mold. Acrylic panels are non-porous. Palisade Tile is tile-look acrylic that goes up piece by piece, with a sealed tongue-and-groove instead of grout. There is nowhere for scale to live.
Most jobs we open the walls to the studs and rebuild the wet area, then set the acrylic. That is a clean install that lasts. In a rare case we keep existing surrounding — we discuss that with you on the visit. It is not the usual method.
Two acrylic wall systems
Pick the wall system first. Then the look.
Acrylic wall system
Palisade Tile
Tile-look acrylic. Visible joints. Goes up piece by piece.
Palisade Tile is tile-look acrylic that goes up one piece at a time. Each piece has a tongue on one edge and a groove on the other. We put sealant in the groove so water cannot get behind the wall, then set the next piece. The joints stay visible, and that is the tile look, but there is no grout to scrub, haze or mildew.
The usual path is still demo to the studs, a rebuilt wet area, then Palisade. Most jobs still finish in a day.

Palisade Tile
Palisade Tile showers we've finished
Real Palisade Tile jobs. Tile-look acrylic pieces joined with a sealed tongue-and-groove edge instead of grout, so the joints show but there is no grout.
Contractor's tip: decide where your shampoo lives before the walls go up. Once the pieces are on, that spot is set for good.
Tile-look pieces going up, and the joints seal without grout to scrub later.
Somewhere for the bottles, and walls you wipe instead of scrub.
You can see the joints, and they still don't hold the dirt grout does.

Full Wall Acrylic Panel
Large seamless sheets. One per wall.
Full Wall Acrylic Panel is one large acrylic sheet per wall, so a shower has only a few seams, sealed at the corners. No grout lines at all.
Solid color
Gloss white, ivory, biscuit — a clean plane with no grout to haze.
Stone texture
Travertine, marble, and slate looks sealed into a high-gloss panel.
Tile pattern
Subway and large-format patterns printed in. The grout is a picture, not a trap.
You pick in the house, against your light. Several American-made collections — we will not bury you in brand names.

Acrylic is non-porous. Hard water and soap cannot settle into joints the way they do in tile.
The look of stone, without the upkeep.
Carrara, travertine, subway, slate — designer look, one-day install.
Why it finishes in a day.
Prefab panels go up fast after we rebuild the wet area. Demo to the studs is the usual path.
Built to last in California water.
Orange County scale destroys grout. A seamless surface does not give mineral deposits a place to live.
Specialized work
Custom wrap existing with acrylic.
Sometimes the tub still works and the layout is right — the walls just look tired. We can wrap the existing surround or deck in acrylic, or wrap the pony wall around a new walk-in tub, to renew the look. That is not how most jobs go. We only wrap when the structure underneath is sound, and we both agree on the visit.
New walk-in tub, custom acrylic wrap
Old bathtub removed · new walk-in tub installed · custom acrylic wrap on the pony wall around it
We took out the old drop-in tub, put in a new walk-in tub, and wrapped the pony wall around it in custom white acrylic. Demo to the studs is still the usual method.

Questions
Acrylic shower questions.
What's the difference between Full Wall Acrylic Panel and Palisade Tile?
Full Wall Acrylic Panel is one large seamless acrylic sheet per wall, so the shower has only a few seams. Palisade Tile is tile-look acrylic that goes up piece by piece with a sealed tongue-and-groove instead of grout, so the joints show but there's no grout.
Is acrylic easier to clean than tile?
Yes. Acrylic is non-porous, so hard water and soap can't settle into joints the way they do in tile. There's no grout to scrub, haze or mildew.
Does acrylic hold up to Southern California hard water?
Yes. Orange County scale is hard on grout, and acrylic walls have no grout and a seamless, non-porous surface, so mineral deposits have no place to live.
Do you put acrylic over my old tile?
Usually no. The usual method is demo to the studs, then rebuild and set acrylic or Palisade Tile acrylic. Overlay is rare, and only if we both agree.
Is acrylic the same as fiberglass?
No. We install acrylic, not fiberglass. When a bathroom has an old fiberglass tub or shower unit, we remove it and replace it with acrylic.
How long does an acrylic shower install take?
Acrylic showers often finish in a day once materials are on site. Hidden rot or plumbing repairs can take longer, and we tell you that on the visit.
What warranty comes with acrylic shower walls?
Limited lifetime warranty on the shower base and wall materials, plus a 10-year workmanship warranty. For the original homeowner; not transferable.
