A tub-to-tub replacement keeps the bathtub and replaces the one you have. We usually open the walls around the tub, put in a new valve and drain, and set a new acrylic tub with acrylic walls. It is still a regular tub you step over. If you want a door, that is a walk-in tub, on its own page.

These are regular bathtubs, not walk-in tubs. Marble-look or stone-look walls, a new tub, and no grout to scrub.
We kept the tub where it was and put in a new one, and the marble-look walls just wipe clean.

The soak stays. The walls are acrylic, so cleanup is a wipe.

Usual path is demo to the studs, with a new valve and drain and a new acrylic tub. Keeping the existing surround is rare, and only if we both agree. We don't sell set packages, because no two bathrooms are the same. Every bathroom is quoted on its own, based on the look you want, who's using it, and the condition of your house. You choose the walls (Full Wall Acrylic Panel, Palisade Tile, laminate or synthetic stone), a curtain rod or a glass door, and extras like shelves, grab bars and a seat.

How much does a tub replacement cost?
Tub-to-shower conversions and tub replacements start at $10,000. Full bathroom remodels are quoted per project. We measure in your house and give you a written price.
How long does a tub replacement take?
Jobs often finish in a day once materials are on site. Hidden rot or plumbing repairs can take longer, and we tell you that on the visit.
Do you install over existing tile?
Usually no. The usual method is demo to the studs, then rebuild and set acrylic or Palisade Tile acrylic. Overlay is rare, and only if we both agree.
Do I need a permit?
