Case study · Montclair tub-to-shower conversion · before and after 09/22/2026

Montclair: tub out, shower in.

Montclair bathroom before: an old tub with white tile walls and a handheld shower — Morning, before demo: the tub we were here to take out.

Montclair tub-to-shower conversion after: the full shower where the tub was, with white wall panels, a sliding glass door, a seat and grab bars — That evening, same angle: a seat, grab bars and a wide sliding glass door where the tub was.

From our side, the seat was the heart of this job: a place to sit while showering, with grab bars within reach and a wide sliding glass door that makes getting in and out easy. We added a handheld sprayer on a slide bar so it works seated or standing.

It was a one-day job on 09/22/2026: we took the first photo that morning, before demo started, and the second that evening. In that one day the tub came out and the shower went in the same spot. The corner shelves keep soap and shampoo off the floor. The same household also had us install a walk-in tub that month; those photos are on our Montclair page.
