Choosing a remodeler

What to ask any Orange County bathroom contractor.

If you are comparing bathroom remodelers in Orange County, a few questions sort them out quickly. Is the contractor licensed, and does the license number check out with the CSLB? Will they open the shower walls to the studs, or glue panels over your old tile? Who answers the phone after the job is done? Is the warranty in writing? • Tear-out or overlay?

  We usually demo to the studs. Overlay is rare, and only if we both agree.

• Who answers the phone?

  Not an 800 number. You call the same local crew.

• Warranty in writing?

  Limited lifetime warranty on the shower base and wall materials, plus a 10-year workmanship warranty. For the original homeowner; not transferable. Walk-in tubs are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty on the tub itself; terms vary by model, and we’ll go over them with you before you buy. Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers our installation.
