How much does a tub-to-shower conversion cost?

Tub-to-shower conversions and tub replacements start at $10,000. Full bathroom remodels are quoted per project.

Should I get a walk-in tub or a walk-in shower?

If you still want to soak, a walk-in tub gives you a real bath with a door, a seat and a grab bar. If you mostly shower, a tub-to-shower conversion gives you a low step-in shower with a seat, a handheld and grab bars.

How long does the install take?

Walk-in tubs and tub-to-shower conversions often finish in a day once materials are on site. Hidden rot or plumbing repairs can take longer.

Do you install over my existing tile?

Usually no. Demo to the studs is the usual method. Overlay is rare.

Is acrylic easier to clean than tile?

Yes. Acrylic is non-porous, so hard water and soap can't settle into joints the way they do in tile. There's no grout to scrub, haze or mildew.

How do I compare bathroom remodel quotes?

Line the quotes up on the same points: the contractor's license number, the contract price, a description of the project and the materials, the down payment, how change orders work, and your right to cancel.

What warranty comes with a new shower?

Limited lifetime warranty on the shower base and wall materials, plus a 10-year workmanship warranty. For the original homeowner; not transferable.
